Facilitators lead middle school students through fun, appropriate, and meaningful activities and discussion about what middle school students need most: self-image, decision making, respect and responsibility, and building positive relationships.

EDGE Conference Objectives:

Students will…

·         Define self-worth and describe positive self-image.

·         Analyze factors that have a positive and negative effect on my self image.

·         Demonstrate proper dining, phone, male/female interaction, and guest etiquette.

·         Demonstrate proper interpersonal skills (introductions, conversations, showing appreciation).

·         Recognize the value of my opinion and understand the impact of others’ opinions.

·         Analyze the risks and rewards of trying new things.

·         Define responsibility.

·         Acknowledge how my decisions affect others.

·         Define respect and describe the benefits of mutual respect. Creates awareness of leadership styles and characteristics
